My Tomato Plant

This is mostly to show my mom a picture of the plant that I am so proud of. It has been such a miracle that it has not killed over by now. Especially since it had about four leaves when I bought it. Perhaps it is because I have such a good gardening buddy.

Our Ultrasound

We are pleased to announce that the above photo is of our little girl! And she is doing fine.

The Best Holiday Weekend

This was the best mini vacation I've had, all thanks to Peter's family. It all began on Thursday evening when we had a family camp out in Grandma's backyard; complete with roasting marshmallows and all.

I was a bit nervous about how Zach would do sleeping in a tent, since our last camp out was horrible, but he did a GREAT job! He just went to sleep and stayed that way all night long.

That same evening we had the "Driveway of Fire!" It was a great prelude to the fourth where we hang out with the whole Henderson clan. It was a lot of fun!

A special note to the relatives:

Here is the recipe for those Oreo Bon Bons (Thanks Elise!)

1 package of Original Oreos or Golden Oreos
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
1 package of semi-sweet chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
2+ Tablespoons shortening

Crush the package of Oreos into fine crumbs. Mix well with the package of cream cheese. Shape mixture into balls and refrigerate or freeze for an hour or two on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Prepare dipping chocolate or butterscotch in a microwave-safe bowl. Place the bag of chips and shortening into the bowl and warm for a minute in the microwave. Stir and microwave again in 15 sec. intervals if the mixture isn't smooth. Dip Oreo balls into smooth mixture and refrigerate or freeze for another hour or so, until the outer shell is hard.

Enjoy! Makes about 3 dozen.
