Office 2007, off on the right foot!!...

So, I made the decision yesterday to conform one step further in the Microsoft world to Office 2007 from 2003. After downloading for an hour and installing for another hour. I encountered the fact that spell checker was no longer working on any of the 2007 suite. This is a very important function of MS Word, due to the fact that I am unable to spell without it. :-) I could type whatever I want and spell checker wouldn't care. To make a long story longer, 3 hours later, working hand in hand with Microsoft, allowing them to remote into my computer to figure out the problem, a solution was found deep down in the proofreading registry files. It all works perfectly now, luckily I'm a student and only had to spend $70 for office ultimate, instead of $650. It makes the extra effort a bit more acceptable. I cross my fingers when I say, "I hope there won't be any more issues like that." So, if your spell checker isn't working, let me know, I bet I can figure it out. :-)

Riding the Bus

Last Friday night Peter had the brilliant idea of taking Zach on a bus ride. It was a lot of fun! I am grateful for the local transit system, everyone rides free! Anyways, Zach loved the trip despite the video, he kept talking about it as we were putting him to bed.

Spring Break

This last week was USU's Spring Break. As a result we took a trip down to Utah County to hang out with family. We did many fun activities together. Here are a few highlights. (From top to bottom: Visiting Krispy Kreme, Rollerblading at Classic, and flying kites) It was a wonderful, much needed vacation.

Keep It A Secret!

So, in light of my new calling as the Ward Clerk, I was familiarizing myself with the administrator side of the church’s website. Prior to being allowed to edit all the online information, I had to answer a few questions. One question in particular stuck out. It was asking: How can the administrator help prevent inappropriate use of the unit’s website. I selected the one I thought to be correct, but it gave me an error saying I had chosen the wrong one. I finally selected the choice saying: Keep the website a secret, and discourage its use. According to the program, this was the right one! But then it went off explaining how important it was to keep specific locations and times of youth activities private. This happened to be my first choice and this explination didn't seem to apply to the "correct" choice very well. Em and I got a kick out of it. So just incase you didn't know, keep the website a secret!!! (Click on the image to see it for yourself)
