Out here in the sticks we like to teach our kids about life, trucks, and being tough. An example of this was the annual Baby Animal Days. We had our dear friends over and we all attended the great festival. There our kids were able to go into the animal pens and touch all of the new babies. They ranged from turtles and frogs, to cows and sheep, with a whole bunch of others in between. After that we viewed the old farm equipment. And of course a local get together wouldn't be complete without the kid's mutton bustten, and axe throwing (and yes they were really throwing real axes). We got a video of the greatest mutton bustten ride, and will post it soon. Until then enjoy the pictures!

Seeing the farm equipment reminds me of going to the Amador County Fair each summer. There is much to be said about growing up 'out in the sticks.' Makes me homesick just seeing your wonderful pictures. I'm so glad you had such a fun time.
